What to Expect

01. Before the Event

If you decide I am the artist for your special occasion, I will schedule a personalized appointment to discuss my availability, the contract terms, and other details of your special event. During this meeting we will discuss your vision, my process, and I will answer any questions you may have about live event painting. I will collect information about your event, including the venue location and contact person so I can research the best place to position my work station.

Two to three weeks prior to your event date I will contact you to confirm the contract details and discuss any modifications.

02. Day of Event

I will arrive at the venue two to three hours before the event to set up my workstation. I will need a 5’ x 5’ area to work, an outlet for my easel light, and access to water for cleaning my brushes. Once my setup is complete, I will begin laying out a loose composition of the background on the canvas.

As your guests arrive, I will focus on adding all of the special details we discussed during the consultation. I endeavor to capture every aspect of your day — the guests, the ambiance, and most importantly, YOU — on the canvas.

03. Painting the Night Away

Even though I begin painting hours before the event begins, you can expect I will be painting during the ceremony all the way through to the end of the reception. I can be as visible or invisible as you prefer. You and your guests are always welcome to observe me painting and I am always open to answering questions.

The painting will be approximately 80% complete by the end of the night depending on the complexity of the details and the overall length of the event.
